The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 5 of the 2018 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Donavan Williams (RB, Iowa Barnstormers)
The Iowa Barnstormers won their fourth consecutive Iowa Bowl trophy by defeating in-state rival Cedar Rapids Titans 59-45 in Week 5. The Barnstormers defeated the Titans with a dominant rushing attack led by RB Donavan Williams. Williams (6'1, Sam Houston State) was a workhorse for Iowa as he rushed 20 times while plowing into the end zone three times. Williams not only rushed for a league high in attempts this season but also tied the league high this season with 93 rushing yards. Williams and the Barnstormers travel to face the 3-1 Nebraska Danger in Week 6.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Joshua Gordon (DL, Arizona Rattlers)
The Arizona Rattlers took down the previously undefeated Nebraska Danger 62-49 in Week 5. Rattlers DL Joshua Gordon did a little bit of everything on defense to help give his team an advantage all night long. Early in the second quarter, Gordon (6'1.Minnesota State Univ., Mankato) got through Nebraska's offensive line to block a field goal. Arizona would use the great field position to score a touchdown on the very next play. Later, the Rattlers defensive linemen did what few defensive linemen ever do: record an interception. Gordon dropped into coverage and picked off Danger QB Jesse Scroggins III. Gordon finished his night with one interception, one sack, two tackles and blocked a field goal for Arizona. Gordon and the Rattlers host the Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 6.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Korey Ringer (KR, Nebraska Danger)
After starting the season 3-0, the Nebraska Danger lost their first game of the season in Week 5, falling to the Arizona Rattlers 62-49. Damaged by the season-ending loss of QB Damien Fleming to injury, the Danger got a field position boost all game long due to the outstanding play of KR Korey Ringer. Ringer (5'10,Ferris State Univ.) started the game well as he returned his opening kickoff 51 yards. Ringer consistently gave Nebraska excellent starting field position due to his 10 kickoff returns for a season-high 209 yards. Ringer's 209 kickoff return yards are the most in the IFL this season and fourth most in IFL history. Ringer and the Nebraska Danger host the Iowa Barnstormers in Week 6.
